Today he spends his time investing in and advising early-stage technology companies to give them the best opportunity to grow rapidly and position their technologies as the leading platforms in the marketplace. His drive and ambition that created his business success is evident in his passion for photography.

As a photographer, Dave strives to capture the emotion in his photography. In the sailing world, sometimes that means showing the beauty of the lines of yachts under way or navigating a race course and other times it requires the hands-on close-up shots that show the thrill, excitement and contemplation that are always present on a racing vessel. For Optimist sailors, the best shots are taken as close to the action as possible, while avoiding interfering with the race underway. This is accomplished by the skill and navigation of some of the best skippers and crew to volunteer their time and boat to drive Dave around the waters of each Optimist venue.
